David Ward is a British commercial professional with thirty years of senior sales and distribution experience across Asia Pacific. The practice came first.

Darla AI has been teaching AI as a thinking partner since October 2023, built from daily practice that began on Day 32 of ChatGPT's public existence. When Anthropic later published the AI Fluency Framework, the alignment with what was already being taught was so complete that the first Academy course was completed without working through the material. The framework recognised the practice, rather than introducing it.
